The Sant Antoni Market

Sant Antoni Market reopens its doors

The old market is back, together with its Sunday book market, and looking good again after a lengthy period of rehabilitation.

Although it has always worked basically as a food market, its striking industrial chic architecture and Sunday book and comic market have made the Market of Sant Antoni something more than that. And now it’s back and better than ever, thanks to a lengthy but much needed rehabilitation process. And who better to show you around the rehabilitated market than the architects responsible for the project?  So, on 26 and 27 May, Pere Joan Ravetllat and Carme Rives will guide visitors around the place, but you do need to reserve a place on the tour and the booking process will take place on Friday 25 May.

The weekend will be full of cultural activities taking place on the block around Sant Antoni, with dance, music and children activities throughout Saturday 26, and the following day, when the new location of the Sunday book market will be inaugurated by the writer and former neighbour Miqui Otero.
