The Reial Cercle Artístic to host the exhibition 'Open Mind'

Visitors to the exhibition have until 18 August to see works by 42 artists from around the world

The result of an artistic exchange between the Forum Kunst und Architektur of Essen and the Reial Cercle Artístic de Barcelona, the exhibition Open Mind features the work of 42 artists from around the world who are all members of one of these two institutions. The exhibition was inaugurated in Germany last spring and can now be seen until 18 August in Barcelona. Among the artists included in the show are the painters Pepa Poch, Willy Ramos, Matt Lamb and David Dalmau, and painter and sculptor Josep Puigmartí.

The exhibition is another step in the process of internationalisation of the Circle, which is a non-profit association that was founded in 1881. One of the aims of this process is to bring prestigious exhibitions to Barcelona. Forum Kunst und Architektur is, in contrast, a much newer institution, which was created in 2002 by three German art associations with more than sixty years of history behind them and which were founded by artists and academics inspired by the Bauhaus school and the artistic practices of the Folkwang University of the Arts.

The Reial Cercle Artístic is located at number 5 Carrer dels Arcs, and the exhibition can be visited every day of the week from 10am to 8pm.
