'Interior d'un taller' by Ramon Casas

Readings of Ramon Casas at MNAC

'Words and Arts: Visions of Ramon Casas' is a cycle scheduled to take place in a number of different museums and cultural institutions

2016 was the year of Ramon Casas; 12 months in which to commemorate one of the leading figures in Catalan modernist paintings. And the celebration is set to continue in 2017 with a cycle titled ‘Words and Arts: Visions of Ramon Casas’ with readings by six writers on different works by the artist that will be held in a number of different museums and cultural institutions.
At the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC), Susanna Rafart will be reading from 7pm on 19 January a piece titled  Interior d’un taller després d’una festa right in front of the artwork by Ramon Casas that is on view in the museum’s modern art collection.

The session will underscore the interplay between painting, writing and reading - an act of cross genre interpretation that makes up part of the 150th anniversary of the painter.
