The piano talent of Levon Avagyan at Palau de la Música

Avagyan was the winner of the Maria Canals  International Competition 2017.

 

Levon Avagyan was born in Yereva, Armenia, but his career as a pianist is being internationalized at a very fast pace. In part, that’s thanks to the many prizes he has been awarded in competitions around world, including the ‘International Piano Competition Forum per Tasti’ in Slovakia and the 'International Piano Competition Roberta Gallinari' in Italy. This led him to Barcelona, ​​home to one of the most internationally renowned competitions for pianists: the Maria Canals International Competition. In 2017 he won the first prize at this event, earning him a place in the rankings of the best pianists in the world. Since then, he has played concerts around Europe and has become a mentor for many musicians who want to go professional. He is now returning to Barcelona to perform a concert featuring pieces by Grieg, Liszt, Rachmaninov and Schumann.

The concert will take place at Palau de la Música at 8pm on Monday 13 August and offers the perfect opportunity to admire the talents of a piano virtuoso like Levon Avagyan at one of the most impressive concert halls in Barcelona.
