The Pepper Pots say farewell to Barcelona

The Catalan soul band will perform in the BARTS on the 1st of November, backed by The Excitements

Saturday the 1st of November will be the last opportunity to see The Pepper Pots live in Barcelona.

The band, one the primary exponents of the Catalan soul revival of recent years, have decided to hang up their hats, and intend to do so with a brief tour which includes a visit to the BARTS.

Rather than being a maudlin affair, however, the farewell is designed to be a celebration of eleven years of music and touring that have earned the band a place among Europe’s top soul outfits. Over the years they have toured throughout three continents and more than fifteen countries and have collaborated with some of the genre’s biggest names, including Binky Griptite, guitarist and producer of Amy Winehouse, Sharon Jones, The Impressions and Eli ‘Paperboy’ Reed.

To underline the festive nature of the event, The Pepper Pots have decided to celebrate alongside what is probably Catalonia’s other great soul band, The Excitements, who, with vocalist Koko-Jean Davis at the helm, are destined to make the evening, literally, an unrepeatable one.

The Pepper Pots and The Excitements will perform on the 1st of November in the BARTS. Advance tickets are priced at 15 euros and more information is available on the BARTS website.
