La Puttanesca

Open-air cinema with La Puttanesca

The Raval neighbourhood is hosting a commerce-related outdoor film cycle.

More outdoor films are on the schedule in August in Barcelona! We never seem to have enough in this town! On this occasion, the Raval neighbourhood is inviting us to their own film cycle, La Puttanesca, organized by the Fem Raval Commerce Association. They have decided to put on a selection of films related in some way with commerce. La Puttanesca began on 22 July with El Bar (Álex de la Iglesia), which was followed on 29 July by Fire (Deepa Mehta).

Next up on the schedule will be Naomi Kwase’s Sweet Bean on 5 August, followed by Quiero tener una ferretería en Andalucía by Carles Prats on 12 August. The following Sunday (19/08) sees the screening of the French film Monsieur Ibrahim by François Dupeyron. Stephen Frears's High Fidelity is also on the schedule, in this case for the evening of 28 August. Finally, there’ll be a double session on 2 September featuring the documentary El Sastre by Óscar Pérez and Isabel Coixet’s The Bookshop.

All of the films will be screened at Plaça Salvador Seguí on Sundays at 10pm until 2 September.

All of the sessions are free. Additional information is available on the cycle’s Facebook event page.
