Poblenou Urban District to hold an open day on 12 May with the aim of bringing creators and public together in the same place.
Poblenou Urban District came into being with the intention of slowly but surely transforming the Poblenou district into a focus of cultural activity in Barcelona, based on the idea that every important city has an area where stimulating things happen and where creativity finds its natural place. In this way, the association has focused its efforts on promoting Poblenou as a distinctive area of art and creativity in Barcelona, and throughout the year its task is to promote events, exhibitions, meetings with artists and circuits within the district to stimulate creativity and attract talent. An important part of this year-round agenda is Open Day, when 85 creative spaces open their doors to people in the neighbourhood. This year, it’s scheduled to take place from 12 noon to 11pm on 12 May.
The programme of free activities includes visits to art galleries, creation centres, artists’ studios, advertising agencies, audiovisual production companies , showrooms, gastronomic spaces, shops, cocktail bars, hotels and restaurants; because you can find creativity, design and talent in the unlikeliest places. Among the most important activities you will find the workshops promoted by San Miguel, sponsor of the Open Day (until 5:00 p.m.), and the dozens of activities spread throughout the neighborhood network.
