The Palau de la Música receives the Glasgow musician on November 1, as part of the "Masters of the Guitar"
At this point no one doubts that David Russell is one of the great contemporary masters of the guitar. That's why the meeting with the musician that offers us the Palau de la Música in the first day of November, included the Masters of Guitar at the Palau cycle, becomes an unmissable date.
In this musical evening, David Russell will perform works by Vivaldi and Bach, as well as the Gran Jota by Francisco Tarrega.
Scottish talent with classical guitar has brought him several honors throughout his career, including the Grammy for best solo instrumentalist in 2005 for his Aire latino or his appointment as member of the Royal Academy of Music in London in 1997.
Russell is also the adopted son of Es Migjorn Gran, the city of Menorca where he grew up. He lives in Nigrán (Galicia), but spends most of his time touring around the world, growing reputation in cities like London, New York, Toronto, Amsterdam and, of course, Barcelona.
