OFFF Barcelona 2014, in the Disseny Hub

The international digital design and culture festival will take place from the 15th to the 17th of May and offer some seventy conferences by the world’s most influential artists

The Barcelona OFFF festival, the world’s most relevant digital creation event, will take place in the Disseny Hub Barcelona building on the 15th, 16th and 17th of May with an extensive programme of events which will include performances, interactive installations, exhibitions, animated projections and some seventy conferences by a variety of artists.

This edition of OFFF boasts the participation of a host of eminent national and international artists, among them Vincent Morisset, the creator of Just a Reflektor a technological and audio-visual experiment which was designed in collaboration with Google Chrome for the presentation of the song “Reflektor” by the well-known band, Arcade Fire. Also participating will be Caroline Robert, one of the most acclaimed album cover designers in recent years, and Casey Neistat, the creator, producer and director of a significant collection of popular YouTube videos.

The festival will also give participants a chance to acquaint themselves with the artists behind the creation of the opening titles for such spectacular films as Oblivion and Iron Man, while offering an insight into the creative process behind MTV graphics. Highlights will also include the presence of the creative French duo, Fleur & Manu, authors of numerous video-art creations for bands such as M83, as well as studios, agencies and national artists such as Crowd, Vincente Morillo and Herraiz Soto & Co., among others.

The festival originated in 2000 as a meeting place for artists and lovers of digital culture to discover synergies and investigate the work of other like-minded professionals. Today it has become the world’s most important showcase for the latest avant-garde tendencies in areas of design, cinema and television advertising and digital publishing.
