The Night of Religions: a festival of faiths and cultures

For the second consecutive year, people interested in finding out more about the religious faiths that are practised in Barcelona have the opportunity to do so on the evening of 16 September.

As well as being a question of faith, religion is also a projection of human culture, a system of social organisation and of artistic development. That's why it's important to understand the values that religions promote and reflect. One year ago, a group of young people in the UNESCO AUDIR group for interreligious dialogue decied to reproduce in Barcelona an initiative that was first seen in Berlin in 2012: the Night of Religions. The second edition of this event in Barcelona is set to take place on the evening of 16 September.

Among the religious communities taking part in the initiative are Catholic Christians, Evangelical and Protestant Christians, Orthodox Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, followers of the Baha’í faith, Hindus, Sikhs, pagans (wicca) and Scientologists.
