New Year's Eve at the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc

Once again, this year Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina, with the Palau Nacional and the Montjuïc fountains as its backdrop, is the setting for Barcelona's New Year celebrations.

Light, the water in the Magic Fountain, fireworks and music will be the stars of a stunning show that starts at 11.30 pm and ends at 12.10 am. Early arrivals from 9.30 pm to Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina will be able to enjoy different music and choreography performances at the Magic Fountain.

On 31 December, the Magic Fountain will be especially important in the New Year chimes and will stage a performance using fire for the first time, combining water, sound and light. The New Year fireworks show will be staged by Pirotècnia Igual.

We would also like to inform you that to make sure the evening's celebrations are safe, we will be installing two hand-in points near the Venetian towers where you can exchange glass bottles for plastic ones.

There will be an area on Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina in front of the Palau de Congressos reserved for people with reduced mobility.
