A new edition of MIRA, from the 6th to the 15th of November

The Live Visual Arts Festival programme includes such diverse activities as music, electronics, installations, workshops and conferences

A new edition of MIRA, the Live Visual Arts Festival, is just around the corner and will feature new local and international creations based on the symbiosis of visual and musical arts.

On the 14th and 15th of November, the Razzmatazz and the Fabra i Coats Art Factory will play host to a series of well-known names from different branches of electronic music and performance including Gold Panda, the alter ego of Derwent Schlecker, Clark, Byetone, Factory Floor and the Max Cooper audio-visual show, Emergence, which borrows from both experimental music as well as dance. Highlights among local acts include the alliance of Oscar Mulero with Fiumi, a collective that operates in the world of image, Sunny Graces and Marc Piñol, among others.

On the three days prior to this, from the 11th to the 13th, the arts factory Fabra i Coats will host the Live Visual Arts Camp, which will include a series of workshops, presentations and other activities relating to the worlds of advanced projections, illumination and staging, the generation of visuals and digital interaction with dance and theatre. All in all, a new MIRA proposal for training, dissemination and research into new live musical and visual arts performances.

The festival will also include conferences, such as that to be given by visual artist Paul Prudence on the 7th in the Arts Santa Mònica as part of an open day, or those to be offered by other studios and creators such as Palnoise and Mar Canet, both on the 6th of November. During these two days at the Arts Santa Mònica MIRA programs activities from open broadcast industry, as well as AV-shows and the interactive installation Metamorphy.

The MIRA musical programme on the 14th and 15th of November is priced at 45€ for the two days or 25€ for each day, while the workshops on the 11th, 12th and 13th are priced at 200€ and include lunches and access to the remainder of the festival activities.
