Neko Case, in the Apolo

One of the maximum exponents of alternative country music will be performing on the 15th of December

Neko Case’s musical career is as lengthy and solid as her flowing locks of auburn hair. Born in Virginia but raised in Tacoma, in the far North-West, she has been involved in musical projects since her earliest years, the majority of these as a drummer and almost entirely as part of the punk rock scene, especially during her sojourn in Vancouver, Canada. In 1991, however, she took matters into her own hands, fashioning her own unique style of country music with her debut album, The Virginian.

Since that day, her popularity within the American music scene has increased slowly but surely, the proof being both the release of six recordings and her participation in equally stimulating projects such as The New Pornographers, a super-group consisting of Neko, Dan Bejar (Destroyer) and AC Newman (Zumpano).

Her upcoming appearance in Barcelona could not have a better setting than the Apolo, and the performance forms part of the promotional tour for her latest, viscerally-titled release, The Worse Things Get , The Harder I Fight , The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You.
