The Musical: The Great Hits

A large-scale participative musical featuring iconic tunes written by the leading composers in the genre

Can you imagine yourself sitting down to listen to a participative chorus, soloists and an instrumental group who are all ready to offer you an attractive trip through the history of the Broadway musical from its origins to the present? That is what is on offer with The Musical: The Great Hits, in which adaptations of some of the most iconic songs in the genre, written by its leading songwriters, make up a programme of magical songs that everyone knows and in which everyone can participate. And we are insisting on its participative nature because the chorus is made up of volunteers who will see their dreams come true on the evening of the 8th of February; an evening that promises to be magical.

With the backing of the programme of social activities of “La Caixa”, classics like The Lion King, Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar and Saturday Night Fever will be performed, together with the stars of Mamma Mia, at Teatre Tívoli following months of preparation and rehearsals, culminating in a concert that you simply cannot miss. More information is available here, and remember that for next year be sure to check out the Obra Social "la Caixa" website to participate in this unique musical.
