The Museu Marítim opens the exhibition "Planet Ocean"
An artistic view of the ocean based on the stunning photography of the film "Planet Ocean" by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Michael Pitiot
The film, with stunning photography, is transformed into this exhibition showing one of the greatest mysteries of nature, the great oceans. "Planet Ocean" is accompanied by educational materials to continue the outreach work initiated by the directors of the documentary.
The exhibition, which will be open until September 1 at the Maritime Museum (Av.de Drassanes s/n Barcelona), shows the head and tail of the relationship between the oceans and human beings and proposes concrete actions so we can improve its state.
With the exhibition "Planet Ocean", the GoodPlanet Foundation offers the public the posibility to get a glimpse of the ocean through the objectives of Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Brian Skerry. With his talent - from the sky, from the hand of Yann Arthus-Bertrand, and from the depths, with Brian Skerry, the 36 photos of the exhibition are intriguing and complement, forming a colorful dialogue. The texts that accompany the exhibition allow us to get an idea of the socio-economic threats facing the oceans.
