A mouth-watering evening visit to Barcelona's Egyptian Museum

This activity includes a museum tour and a tasting

The Eternal Banquet is probably the most singular of the guided visits on offer at Barcelona’s Egyptian Museum. In first place, because it is scheduled to take place during the evening every Friday. Secondly because one the museum tour is over, visitors partake in a tasting of the products that made up a standard diet in Ancient Egypt while listening to an explanation by an expert in the field.

Tours begin at 8.30pm and, including the dinner, last around two hours. The price per person is €35 and pre-booking is essential. The next three tours are scheduled for the 26th of August and the 2nd and 16th of September.

The Barcelona Egyptian Museum is located at number 284 Carrer de València and has an extensive collection of items on display, arranged in different sections including The Pharaoh, Jewellery, Cosmetics and the Erotic, Gods of Egypt and Funerary Practices and Beliefs. Among the objects on display are amulets, necklaces, stelas, statues, vases, beds and even mummies.
