Moncho and Los Panchos unite in the BARTS

The Barcelona-born singer and the legendary Mexican trio, both of whom are renowned bolero artists, will perform on the 9th of April

At 9 pm on the 9th of April the BARTS theatre will host a concert featuring two of the world’s most notable exponents of the bolero: Moncho and Los Panchos. The concert will provide the perfect opportunity to enjoy two contrasting styles of bolero, the love song par excellence, on the stage together for the first time.

Barcelona-born Moncho, popularly known as the king of the bolero, has performed with many world-renowned artists during the course of his career, a career that has spanned more than 50 years. In his own words, the opportunity to play alongside Los Panchos is a dream come true.

The legendary Mexican trio are currently celebrating their 70th anniversary since their initial formation in 1944 in New York with original members Alfredo Gil, Chucho Navarro and Hernando Avilés. The current heirs to this extraordinary musical adventure (Gaby Vargas, Luis Villaseñor and Tauríno Vargas) are in the middle of a commemorative international tour which, in the case of Barcelona, will allow them to perform alongside one of the finest solo voices in the history of boleros.
