Mecal 2019: a wealth of short films for everyone!
The 21st International Festival of Short and Animation Films is back in Barcelona.
Barcelona’s film fans have another date with short and animated films as another edition of Mecal kicks off. Over the course of three weeks, four venues will be screening over 350 films from all around the world. Every week of the festival is devoted to a different genre: the first featuring animated films, the second focusing on fictional titles and the thirds week being given over to documentaries. Each week will also feature parallel activities, including coaching sessions on pitching and crowdfunding, networking sessions and four special programs on short films from this year’s guest country, Estonia.
The 21st International Festival of Short and Animation Films of Barcelona will take place from 28 March to 14 April at MACBA, the French Institute, the Movistar Center and Arts Santa Mònica.
