Marc Almond, otherwise known as Peter Mark Sinclair Almond, is an English singer and songwriter who shot to fame as part of the new wave/techno pop duo Soft Cell, together with David Bell and who sold some 30 million records all around the world, influencing a whole generation of musicians with his famous “Tainted Love”. Who hasn’t heard it, or even covered it at some time?
He has now been making music for more than 30 years, including collaborations with names like Nick Cave, Bronski Beat, Current 93, Coil, Psychic TV and Antony & the Johnsons. This pioneer in the techno pop sound, together with groups like New Order, is now scheduled to appear at Razzmatazz. It will undoubtedly be a concert to remember, since Almond is set to appear on the 13th of February with his group, ready to revise all of his hits and make us dance till we drop.
