The 24th edition of the Barcelona Manga Fair
The most important annual event for Otakus is back and bigger than ever.
If you asked Barcelona’s otakus what their favorite time of the year was, most would answer that it’s when the Manga Fair is on. Over the course of four days, the Fira Barcelona trade fair complex at Montjuïc will be overflowing with comics, costumes and a series of activities ensured to enthrall lovers of Japanese culture. The activities include a space devoted to Japanese cuisine, complete with cooking lessons and show cooking, as well as exhibitions, shows, conferences, book signings, workshops and an area exclusively for children called Manga Kids, where the youngest members of the family can learn to draw manga, read, play and generally have fun.
The Manga Fair will be on from 1 to 4 November at the Fira Barcelona complex at Montjuïc. In addition to all the activities we’ve already mentioned, a new development this year is the Japan Experience, which will offer a series of activities that reflect people’s passion for everything Japanese, including sports, cinema, fashion and music.
