The Lychee International Film Festival

The cream of classic and contemporary Chinese cinema at the Lychee International Film Festival

Screenings of classic films and premieres are scheduled at a number of cinemas in Barcelona.

Although Chinese cinema may exist somewhat under the radar of many cinema-goers, dedicated film fans are well aware of the cultural wealth that lies in wait for anyone willing to explore beyond their normal self-imposed geo-cultural boundaries. And film fans in Barcelona, in particular, have no excuse: for the last two years, the Lychee International Film Festival has been bringing the cream of classic and newly released titles to the screens of the city’s cinemas. As in the debut edition, this year’s festival, which is focused on the theme of love, will attract the presence of some of the big names in Chinese and Spanish film, including Qi Xi, Adriana Ugarte, Javier Cámara, Geng Le, Feng Xun and Gao Yitian.

The Lychee International Film Festival will be held from 14 to 21 September. The main festival venues are Verdi Cinemas, the Filmoteca and Cinema Maldà.

Tickets cost between €3.50 and €5.50 and can be bought at the ticket offices of the participating cinemas. Additional information is available at the following link.
