The Lumineers, from the USA, play in Barcelona for the first time

The band from Denver are booked play in the Razzmatazz on the 10th of July

The Lumineers
will be presenting their self-titled debut album in Barcelona on the 10th of July. On the album, the trio composed of Wesley Schultz, Jeremiah Fraites and Neyla Pekarek blend acoustic rock, classic pop, indie, country and folk.

Along the lines of Mumford & Sons or The Avett Brothers, the music of The Lumineers explores the soundscapes of classic North American roots music and the band are open admirers of artists such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Paul Simon.

While the album saw its release last year, the success of the single “Ho Hey” is what has given the band a high profile in recent months. The song was part of the soundtrack to the film Silver Linings Playbook, which was nominated for 8 Academy Awards.

For the concert in the Razzmatazz, The Lumineers will be joined by an outstanding opening act in the form of Simone Felice, the mainstay of The Felice Brothers, who has recently launched his solo career with an album that has received very positive critical reviews.
