The Llimonades festival is here again

In addition to photographic activities, the summer festival organised by the Pati Llimona Civic Centre offers excursions, workshops, tournaments and open-air cinema

From the 26th of June to the 18th of July, Llimonades, the summer festival organised by the Pati Llimona Civic Centre, has programmed workshops, tournaments, competitions, excursions, open air cinema and many other activities.

On the 10th of July, the centre has programmed one of its specialities, Photography Night, during which photographs by the winners of the Slideluck Barcelona competition will be put on display and the documentary photography magazine, RUIDO, will celebrate its 5th anniversary.

Also part of the Llimonades programme are a tour of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter focussing on the revolutionary period (9/07) and a family-oriented stroll along the walls of the Roman city of Barcino (15/07). Sports fans will have their day with family and adult table football tournaments (10 and 11/07) and a junior beach volleyball tournament (17/07). Open air cinema screenings will include the Vida de Perro Short Film Festival (20/07) and Frank Capra’s You Can’t Take it With You, on the 16th. The programme also includes nocturnal photography tours and specialist workshops.

Activities will come to a close on the 18th of July with the popular balcony concerts, which will feature country and ‘rancheras’ in the plaça Regomir and rockabilly and rhumba in the plaça de la Mercè.

With the exception of the short film festival, Vida de Perro, all the activities in the Llimonades programme will take place in squares, patios, venues and corners of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. The complete programme of events and ticket prices may be consulted here.
