The Film Symphony Orchestra

Soundtracks by John Williams like you have never heard them before

The Film Symphony Orchestra to play compositions by the undisputed king of movie soundtracks.

John Williams is the undisputed master when it comes to film soundtracks and has won five Oscars and garnered 59 nominations for his iconic compositions. Everyone is familiar with the melodies he has created for films like 'Jurassic Park', 'Harry Potter', 'Star Wars', 'Shark', 'Hook', 'Schindler’s List' and 'Superman', to name just a few. The Film Symphony Orchestra, an orchestra specializing in playing soundtracks, is paying tribute to him in two concerts in Barcelona featuring his most famous themes. The first one will take place this month, though for the second we will have to wait until 2019. Both concerts are part of the orchestra’s FSO TOUR 2018/19: Especial John Williams, upon which they will play over 60 concerts on the Iberian Peninsula under the ‎direction of charismatic conductor Constantino Martínez-Orts.

The first concert in Barcelona will begin at 7pm on 9 December in the large concert hall at L'Auditori. Apart from the soundtracks already mentioned we will have the chance to hear melodies from films such as 'Indiana Jones', Catch Me If You Can', 'Lincoln', The Big Friendly Giant', '1941' and The Book Thief ‎'.

Tickets are now on sale and cost from €28 to €52. You can buy them on the L'Auditori website.
