Literary walks with Born Centre Cultural

'The city of letters' guided walk is scheduled the same week as the Sant Jordi festivities

The feast of Sant Jordi (Saint George) is a major literary event in Barcelona and there are a large number of activities scheduled around the 23rd of April that aim to shed light on the country’s rich literary heritage. And this year there is a new opportunity for discovering the literary side of Barcelona thanks to a special itinerary organised by Born Centre Cultural for Sunday 24th April.

The guided walk The City of Letters will take you in and around the Born neighbourhood, calling in at places of literary interest.

The authors of reference covered on the itinerary include Santiago Rusiñol, Josep M. de Sagarra, Joan Maragall, Serafí Pitarra and Albert Sánchez Piñol. Through their works we will relive some of the events that took place in Barcelona at the beginning of the 18th century with the ultimate aim of discovering the marks that literature has left on the city’s urban landscape and collective memory.
