The singer will present "Farem la revolució i la tornarem a fer” on the 23rd of February
On the 23rd of February, Lídia Pujol will present her latest show in the Sant Pau del Camp monastery. The significance of the date (23F refers to the attempted coup of 1981) does not seem to worry the artist.
Farem la revolució i la tornarem a fer (We will start the revolution, and we will start it again) features Pujol accompanied by guitarist Pau Figueres in a musical celebration which has obvious political overtones but which is presented in an intimate, personal style. On her website, the singer states, “Revolution consists of recognising the infinite number of ways I can identify with myself, that I can be myself instead of being obedient and reactionary. It consists of searching for happiness over and over again”. The current show, subtitled "tretze maneres de cantar les quaranta" (Thirteen ways of celebrating forty), includes a repertoire of songs by artists the likes of Lluís Llach, Georges Brassens, Albert Pla, La Polla Records and Joni Mitchell.
Lídia Pujol began her career in the Taller de Músics and achieved particular notoriety through her collaboration with Silvia Comes. She has been a prominent artist in music circles for the past twenty years.
