Lídia Pujol returns to the Mediterráneo with “País Petit?”
The venue on carrer Balmes will host the performance-concert once again on the 31st of July
The performance titled País Petit? returns to the Mediterráneo following the success of the concert at the beginning of May. The venue on carrer Balmes, a legendary venue for small format live concerts, will once again host the performance on the 31st of July.
Despite the title (Small Country?), a clear allusion to the song by Lluís Llach, the repertoire will include songs in a wide variety of styles and with a wide range of origins. As Pujol herself says, “...that which binds us also reveals our differences through the range of popular songs of all types, Napolitan songs, songs in Yiddish, Catalan, Latin, Sephardi, Spanish... They speak to us of our mothers, loss, dreams, loneliness, tenderness...”
Lídia Pujol first came into the public eye at the tail end of the 90s as part of a duo with Silvia Comes. After two releases together, they both began their solo careers.
