Laughter and emotion with "Rhum" in the Teatre Lliure de Gràcia
The Zirkolika 2014 Prize for the best show of clowns retrieves the mythical clown, from December 10 to January 10
This show about the legendary clown Enrico Sprocani Jacinto, 'Rhum' was started by Joan Montanyès, 'Monti'. Unfortunately, when Monti got ill, the work stopped. Now, the company Monti & Cia, directed by Martí Torras Mayneris, retrieves the project on the life and death of a clown for the Teatre Lliure de Gràcia.
Enrico Jacinto Sprocani (1904-1953), known in the circus ring as Rhum, was a great clown who teamed with Pipo and had famous friends, such as the genius of humor Jacques Tati.
This production, Zirkòlka Award 2014, is a show for all ages, full of mischief, slapping, jokes, repetitions, word games, fellinian moments , parades with drums, accordion and sax, live music, smart clowns, clumsy clowns, and of course, red noses.
