This event is also the debut of a new dancehall called Laut in Carrer Vila i Vilà
Fans of avant-garde electronic music should take note of the preview session for the Lapsus Festival. This special session is set to take place on 27 January at Sala Laut, a new venue on Carrer Vila i Vilà that is hosting the event as its official opening. The basic formula is the same as for the full-blown festival: a marathon of electronic music featuring a selection of leading DJs.
One of the highlights of this year’s edition is Pye Corner Audio, a British electronic music project led by musician and producer Martin Jenkins. The group began to become popular in 2010 with the release of Black Mill Tapes, four volumes of which have been released to date. Their latest album was Stasis (2016), which followed their hallmark cosmic downtempo style.
The show is set to start at 11.30pm and will continue till 5am for a night on which Pye Corner Audio will be accompanied by a selection of dance music that will last until the early hours.
