“L’altra música catalana” (The other Catalan music), in the Romea

Loquillo and music journalist Jordi Bianciotto will take part in a debate on the 13th of January

A chat with Loquillo is always something to look forward to as declarations by the rocker from Clot rarely leave listeners indifferent. On this occasion, José María Sanz (Loquillo) will be joined by music journalist Jordi Bianciotto in the Teatro Romea on the 13th of January at 8 pm and the subject up for discussion is none other than The other Catalan music. While the title may appear a little open-ended the subtitle is somewhat more specific: a review of the past and present of pop and rock in Catalonia over the last 50 years. In any case, Loquillo, the very personification of the resilient Catalan rock star, is sure to lead the conversation around to his home territory and his opinions are guaranteed to provide an evening of food for thought.

Jordi Bianciotto is a music critic with El Periódico de Catalunya and collaborates with a number of specialised publications, such as Rockdelux and Enderrock. He is also author of roughly twenty music publications and has served as juror for numerous musical awards and competitions. He regularly takes part in debates and conferences on music both in and outside Catalonia.
