On the 19th of June, Knowledge Innovation Market (KIM), in collaboration with various other organisations, celebrated a new edition of KIMconference under the title “Smart Sustainable Innovation.” The conference focused on new forms of innovation and brought together a number of experts and professionals to share their experiences in innovative projects in financing, internationalisation, and technologies.
Representatives from 70 companies and 35 public organisms took part in the conference, which included 27 speakers and more than 150 attendees from 12 different countries.
The most interesting reflections made at the event have been compiled by KIM and published under the title “11 Things We Have Learned at KIMconference 2014.”, an infographic document containing, among other information, statements made by representatives from organisations such as Leitat Tecnological Center, Caixa Bank, Cosnell Interuniversitari de Catalunya or COMSA-EMTE. As an example, with regard to innovation, Leitat general manager Mr Joan Parra highlighted that “In order to be competitive a country needs to boost and protect its industry. Industry both creates and consumes innovation, becoming an engine of economic growth.”
KIM helps companies, research centres, investors and public organisms improve the returns on their R+D investments and aims to increase competitiveness and technological progress by providing specialised services and developing new projects related to innovation and the transfer of technology and knowledge. KIM, along with its partners MRI-International and Knowledge Investors, is a member of The Knowledge Agents Alliance .
