Jugada a 3 bandas (Ja3b), arrives in Barcelona
Seven of the city’s private galleries participate in an initiative designed to nurture relationships among artists, commissioners and gallery owners
Jugada a tres bandas (three-cushion billiards) has arrived in Barcelona. This is a programme of artistic projects that have been commissioned to be exhibited in private galleries. Following two successful editions in Madrid, the programme has finally extended its horizons and can now be enjoyed here in our city. To a certain extent the name is self-explanatory, as the project consists of fostering the relationships among the three principle agents involved in any artistic pursuit – the creator, the gallery owner and the commissioner.
The seven galleries that are taking part in the initiative, which begins on the 12th of April and continues until the 28th of May, are the ADN Galería, àngels barcelona, Balaguer, etHALL, Galería Alegría, Nogueras Blanchard and ProjecteSD.
The joint inauguration of all the participating galleries will take place on Friday the 12th of April, from 6 to 9 pm. In addition, a new audience award has been instituted and the public may vote via urns located in the galleries. The will be a gallery prize and an artist’s prize as well as a raffle among the voters.
