Jazz & Food

Jazz and food: a tempting mix on the quayside

On the last day of September, the Moll de la Fusta quay will host a new edition of Jazz & Food, a festival offering live music and prestigious chefs.

To some degree, cuisine and gastronomy are the new rock and roll: nowadays there are more kids who dream of becoming stars of the kitchen than rock stars. Creative chefs have given shape to a new idea of culture, a new way of relating senses and beauty that is based on taste, appearance and aroma. That’s why food programmes are increasingly popular on TV and why there are more and more festivals like Jazz & Food, which aims to mix fine dishes with good music. This year, the festival is taking place in Barcelona’s port area on 30 September, concretely on the Moll de la Fusta quayside.

The gastronomic selection on offer at the festival has been chosen by BCN Més and aims to be a journey through world cuisines from Asia and America to local food. So, you will be able to try ramen, delicious desserts, burritos and organic botifarras, rice dishes and vegetables. On the music side, from 11am to after 10pm you can enjoy jazz concerts by Crazy Red Balls & Barcelona Shag Society, Flamingo Tours, aupaQUARTET, Just For Funk, Funkystep & The Sey Sisters, Marinah ‘Afrolailo’ and La Sra. Tomasa.
