Informative meeting on Europeana

The Creativity and Innovation Department of the Institute of Culture of Barcelona offers an informative meeting on the project within APPS&CULTURA

On Wednesday the 16th of July the Disseny Hub will host an informative meeting on the Europeana Creative Challenge, a project designed to help create apps relating to culture, tourism and social networks.

The Europeana Creative Challenge is a European project that has been incorporated into the APPS&CULTURA challenge this year and seeks to create innovative mobile phone apps relating to culture, tourism and social networks. The project promotes better re-use of European cultural heritage resources by European creators via a platform that offers access to 30 million digitalised European cultural heritage elements originating from libraries, museums, archives and audio-visual collections. The idea is to promote creative, innovative use of these European cultural heritage elements through the use the Europeana API (Application programming Interface).

The meeting will provide information relating to the content provided by this platform as well as the new GLAM Data Sets published by the Institute of Culture of Barcelona. Attendance of the meeting requires reservation.
