Inés Garriga attends Networking and Innovation Day
The event will bring together personnel from the research and innovation division of Grupo UB (Barcelona University), businesses located in the Barcelona Science Park (PCB), and other figures from the world of business
Inés Garriga, director of Creativitat i Innovació of Institut de Cultura de Barcelona, will take part tomorrow, the 27th of November, in the 2nd edition of Networking and Innovation Day (NID), to be held in Parc Científic de Barcelona.
Organised by Barcelona University in conjunction with the Bosch and Gimpera Foundation (FBG), the Barcelona Science Park (PCB) and Science and Technology Centres affiliated to Barcelona University, the objective of the event is to provide a reference point for the transfer of knowledge among universities, research centres and businesses in an effort to promote collaboration between the public and private sectors, partnership agreements and open innovation.
During the course of the event those in attendance will be given the opportunity to participate in a series of bilateral meetings with businesses, research groups and investors in an effort to explore new opportunities for the development of innovative projects. The first edition was attended by 200 participants from 160 organisations and a total of almost 400 bilateral partnership meetings were arranged.
As part of the event the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communications of the University of Vic (UVic), Xavier Ferràs, will offer a conference entitled “Innovative Ecosystems, the creation of a competitive country”. Following this, in an effort to make relevant information available to all participants while the one-to-one meetings are in progress, two round-table discussions entitled “The internationalisation of the research and innovation system” and “New paradigms for public-private relationships in research and innovation projects” will also take place.
