Improve your city with an app

Do not miss the Hack Session at the Ateneu de Fabricació de Les Corts next April 18th

Barcelona Smart City App Hack is a project supported by Barcelona Council with the mission to aim citizens of Barcelona to define their city into five major areas: urban transport, energy and sustainability, culture and tourism, commerce and shopping and collaborative city.

To connect citizens with the most important challenges of the smart city and to create apps to find the solution, Smart City App Hack has organized a work day, Hack Session, on Saturday April 18th at the Ateneu de Fabricació de Les Corts.

During the day participants will be part of a working group which converge developers, designers, experts and citizens. The purpose of these working groups is to get the fusion of ideas, experiences and expertise result in a mobile application that solves a problem or improve an aspect of the city.

Participants will have an open platform FIWARE and APIs that are available, as well as the opening of public data by the City of Barcelona, a strategic to be a platform that fosters creativity and entrepreneurship citizen item. They will also receive support from specialized mentors both locally and internationally to help and guide participants in each step.
