IDN Festival

IDN Festival celebrates its fifth edition in Mercat de les Flors, where we will see several dance performances, projections and activities, all them related to the modification of space perception and playing with the mix of elements and 3D technology to provide a creative and innovative vision of a traditional art such as dance.

During the festival we will see Neural Narratives 2 by Polytopya where three dancers allied with the software designer Daniel Bising visualize artificial neural networks, creating connections between real and imagined body parts.

Physics will be the main theme in QUANTUM project by Gilles Jobin. The starting point of the show is his artistic residence in the biggest particle physics laboratory, CERN in Geneva. With the collaboration of the artist Julius von Biskmark, Jobin creates a hypnotic choreography that is an ode to particle physics in an immersive soundscape.
 Finally Nicole Seiler presents Shiver, a disquieting show where the relationship between image and sound in complicity with technologies for over 10 years.

In addition to live performances, IDN Festival visitors can enjoy a selection of short dancing films, facilities spread across different areas in Mercat de les Flors and some activities that allow participants to change the perception space with "mapped" projections and 3D elements generated from the ideas that arise during the activity.

A very interesting proposal from the point of view of creativity and innovation as it shows the interest of many contemporary artists to develop hybrid territories and create opportunities for dialogue between artistic disciplines with the use of new technologies.
