How are trends created?

The first annual Creativity and Trends conference is to include talks and round table discussions

The world of trends is a difficult one to grasp. Companies and creators research this issue seeking to forecast changes in public tastes. Now, a specialised conference at the Barcelona Design Museum is being held to analyse this and related concerns. The First Annual Conference on Creativity and Trends aims to reflect on the keys that determine trends in the fashion world. It will also be an opportunity to promote books and publications that forecast macro trends every year and serve as inspiration for the industry and the creative people working in it.

Nelly Rodi, the founder of one of the leading international agencies in trend forecasting, is set to open proceedings with a talk on the main concerns in the sector. The action will continue with a round table discussion bringing together representatives of the creative departments of companies working in different fields. They will deal with the application and use of trends for the definition and development of new products.

The day’s schedule will also be complemented by activities such as informative and training workshops focussed on the most creative aspects of this surprising and mysterious world.
