Kicking off at midnight on the last Thursday of every month, the popular cover band will offer a combination of music, humour and entertainment
The members of Hotel Cochambre have been performing throughout Catalonia in a variety of guises since the year 2000. On the basis of performances in local festivals and galas as well as one-off events and concerts, the band has become a standard feature of the city’s music and entertainment calendar.
The premise of the band is that the concierge and doorman of an ill-fated, no-star hotel (Hotel Cochambre) ended up joining the unemployment queues and decided to take to the road, interpreting a repertoire that their more popular guests used to sing during their sojourn at the hotel.
Winners of the ARC Awards in 2005 and 2012 for Best Cover Band, Hotel Cochambre consists of five members: Benito Inglada, director and lead vocalist, Miguel Pino, guitars and backing vocals, Diego Marín on guitar, keyboards and backing vocals and Danny Navarro on drums and percussion. Charlie Cuevas stepped in for Josito Guerrero on bass as recently as a few weeks ago.
From the 29th of January on, on the last Thursday of every month, the band will offer a combination of humour and dance music in an effort to energise the Luz de Gas venue, where they recently presented their performance entitled Hotel Dulce Hotel (Hotel, Sweet Hotel).
With more than a thousand concerts under their belts, Hotel Cochambre are a guarantee of entertainment, party atmosphere and music in equal parts.
