The veteran singer-songwriter will perform in a concert that coincides with an exhibition devoted to him.

Barcelona's Music Museum is currently hosting an exhibition titled The Guitars of Quico Pi de la Serra featuring the magnificent collection of guitars from around the world that the Barcelona-born singer-songwriter has gathered over the years. The exhibition, which opened in October and will continue until the end of April, also offers a number of parallel activities, and one of the most keenly awaited is scheduled for Sunday 16 December. The concert performed by Pi de la Serra at the museum will begin at noon and he will be accompanied by Joan Pau Cumellas on harmonica and Amadeu Casas on guitar.

The recital, in which Pi de la Serra is expected to review his extensive career, is part of the Music of the Museum: Original Instruments in Good Hands cycle. Born in 1942, Pi se la Serra joined the Els Setze Jutges collective and recorded his first album at the age of twenty. His personal style is marked by forceful lyrics and a strong blues influence. He usually appears on stage with a guitar in his hand - be it Spanish, acoustic or electric – in venues and on occasions as iconic as L'Olympia in Paris in 1974, Barcelona's Palau Muncipal d'Esports just a few months after the death of Franco and in Portugal just after the Carnation Revolution (April 1974).

Buying a ticket for the performance also gives you access to the museum's temporary exhibition and the permanent collections. Additional information is available at the following link.
