Guitars flood the city with the new edition of the Certamen Llobet

From October 17 to November 9, chords are deployed by different areas of Barcelona, ​​accompanied by workshops, projections and musical routes, among other activities

The event for the world of guitar in Barcelona was created 20 years ago and has now reached its twelfth edition.

The slogan with which the City Council describes the Certamen Llobet is "Barcelona Guitar dress", and from this axiom art of this instrument is spread across different locations in the city, transformed for the occasion in unusual settings .

From 17 October to 9 November, the agenda of events related to this discipline is multiplied with the presence of a wide variety of guest musicians and winners in previous editions. Programming includes auditions and concerts in prisons, hospitals, foundations and social and health institutions, among others, stressing solidarity and expressive character of the event. Thus, Contest Llobet is heard and reaches international significance, to show that another world is possible.

The Art Llobet full program this year includes acts as inspiring as the opening of the Saló d'Art Miquel Llobet, which will take place on Saturday 17 October, with the release of the relevant exhibition on the 20 years of Contest Llobet. From there, the leadership is in the hands of the musicians, who will star days asViatge Musical a Dotze Cordes, by Duo Rubio-FranchVeneçuela en Guitares,  starring Duo Montes-Kircher, and La Guitarra Flamenca al XIX i XXCuarteto Al-Hamra's concert,among many others.

But the Certamen Llobet pronounces its multi-disciplinary nature with other activities, such as a tour through the guitarist Barcelona , workshops and film screenings, dividing the range to many areas of the city, and so on up to the big Certamen Llobet final of day November 8, and the subsequent awarding of the following day.
