The Gràcia neighbourhood festival

The Gràcia Fiesta is here!

One of the most eagerly awaited celebrations of the year is starting a new edition.

The neighbourhood festival held in the district of Gràcia is one of the biggest in Barcelona. During the festivities, the always-charming neighbourhood is transformed into a magical place. This year, no fewer than 21 decorated streets and squares will take part in the traditional contest to see which is the best dressed and host the programme of almost a thousand acts and activities on the schedule. New developments include the incorporation of a new folklore figure, the Àliga de Gràcia, and even greater efforts to ensure that the fiesta is an inclusive event that is free from sexism and aggression against the LGBTI community.  For the second year in a row, people with visual disabilities will be able to enjoy their visit to the decorated streets thanks to an audioguide. And, as usual, the festivities will have something for everyone, with concerts, workshops, street meals, castles, giants and lots more besides.

The Gràcia Fiesta will run from 15 to 21 August and there will be action throughout the day and during the night. Although there will be activities taking place throughout the neighborhood, those organized by the District of Gracia will be focused in Plaça de les Dones del 36, Plaça de la Revolució, Plaça del Sol and Plaça del Diamant.

All the activities are free. Additional information is available at the following link.
