The Gaudí Exhibition Center: a museum for exploring the mind of a genius

The permanent exhibition combines objects and documents related to Gaudí with the use of new technologies.

Presenting itself as a place that allows visitors to explore the genius and creativity of Barcelona’s most famous architect, the Gaudí Exhibition Center uses a mixture of standard museum exhibitions of objects and documents with virtual reality technology to allow you to dive into his mind. It’s located at Plaça de la Seu 7 in Barcelona and is supported by the Diocesan Museum of Barcelona and Molines Patrimonis, with the scientific advice of the Gaudí Research Institute.

The permanent exhibition, Walking with Gaudí, allows you to dive into the creativity of the architect and explore his revolutionary ideas. Among the pieces on display there are several models, along with audiovisual installations, holograms and scenographies. And, with the help of Samsung’s virtual reality technology, you can even travel to the past and meet Antoni Gaud himself, and go on a digital tour of the crypt inside the Colònia Güell.

The temporary exhibition, titled Gaudí: death of poor, burial of king, depicts the last days of the architect and his funeral.
