Fire!! devotes its 23rd edition to children in the LGBTI community

Barcelona's International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival focuses on the under-represented issue of the children of the LGBT community.

Casal Lambda has been fighting for the normalization of homosexuality since 1976, helping people to resolve their concerns and raising awareness in society. It also hosts all types of cultural activities, among which the Fire!! Festival is probably the best known. This year's edition focuses on the often overlooked and, perhaps, most vulnerable section of the LGBTI community: children. The films to be screened approach the subject from two angles, depicting cases in which the people concerned have received support and those in which they have not. The issues of homophobia and transphobia will therefore be present in many of the films, offering a comprehensive portrait of the issue.

55 titles, including feature films, documentaries and short films from different countries around the world will be screened from 7 to 17 June at the French Institute. In this way, Fire!! uses the medium of film to raise awareness of LGBTI issues.

The sessions have different prices and you can get additional information and buy tickets at the following link.
