Cabaret Can Gabarra

Summer cinema and shows at the Casa del Rellotge Civic Centre

A cabaret show and a popular film will lure us outside in the heat of July.

It may seem to be contradictory, but in Barcelona the hottest months of the year are the ones in which we spend most time outdoors in the open air. And we love it! Thousands of activities have been programmed to help you spend a great summer in our neighbourhoods and in our city. And many of these activities have been programmed by civic centres and today we’re going to focus on the Casa del Rellotge Civic Centre in the Zona Franca.

First of all, a screen for an open-air film session will be set up in the gardens of Can Farrero at 10pm on Thursday 19 July for 'The Shape of Water', a film by Guillermo del Toro which won Oscars for best film and best director. It’s a great opportunity to see a film that combines fantasy, drama and adventure in a very pleasant setting.

And special attention will also be paid to the performing arts, with two cabaret and circus pieces on the programme. First of all, at 8 pm on 12 July is a performance of 'HOP Cabaret': a sample of short urban dance pieces that will take place within the framework of HOP 18 (Urban Dance and Culture Festival). Secondly, at 8 pm on 26 July, the Civic Centre will host 'Cabaret Can Gabarra', a series of varied numbers featuring acrobatics and humour.

All of these activities are free of charge. Additional information is available at the following link.
