‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’

Barcelona’s Filmoteca movie archive hosts 'Terry Gilliam: a Quixotic Visionary'

Gilliam himself will be in town to present some of his films.

The only American member of the Monty Python comic group, Terry Gilliam has also stood out as a unique filmmaker with an instantly recognisable language and vision that have allowed us to discover disconcerting and extravagant characters like the Baron Munchausen and Don Quixote and explore with them the darkest sides of humanity. Taking advantage of the fact that Gilliam is currently embarked on a world tour to promote his latest film ‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’, the Filmoteca de Catalunya is staging a cycle of his top films under the title 'Terry Gilliam: a Quixotic Visionary'. In addition to his latest release, it includes movies like 'Twelve Monkeys', 'Brazil', 'Jabberwocky', 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail', 'Time Bandits' and 'The Fisher King'.

The cycle 'Terry Gilliam, a Quixotic Visionary' will take place from 12 March to 12 April at the Filmoteca de Catalunya.

Tickets for the screenings cost €4. Additional information is available at the following link.
