Jeanne Moreau: the best actress in the world

Barcelona's Filmoteca to devote a cycle to one of the most iconic European actresses.

Jeanne Moreau was one of the most beloved actresses in the history of film, especially in Europe. She was praised by the public and renowned directors alike: Orson Welles said she was "the best actress in the world," and filmakers like François Truffaut, Louis Malle, Antonioni, Brook, Losey, Demy, Buñuel, Kazan and Fassbinder were all captivated by Moreau's sensuality and talent. Barcelona's Filmoteca, in its bid to offer a review of the most important artists in the history of film, has programmed a film featuring Moreau every day in August, offering fans the perfect opportunity to see films like 'Viva Maria!', 'The Lovers', 'The Immortal Story', 'The Train', 'La Notte' and 'Moderato Cantabile', among many others .

The cycle will take place at the Filmoteca de Catalunya from 1 to 31 August and tickets cost €4. Whether you want to review Jeanne Moreau's film career or explore it for the first time, don't miss out on this opportunity.
