From November 23 to December 4 we can see the best short films shot in Barcelona at the Library Sant Gervasi-Joan Maragall
The first edition of Festival Bibliocurts has been a success in its call for short films in competition. Now comes the best part: see those little audiovisual works between November 23 and December 4, 2015 at the Library Sant Gervasi-Joan Maragall.
Bibliocurts-Short Film Festival of Barcelona Libraries aims to promote the creation of short films and their display in the libraries of Barcelona. Thus, libraries become platforms to disseminate local and national artists and their works. With regard to the theme, this first edition has no limitation, and can be both short fiction and non-fiction.
Besides the valuable Audience Award, a five-member jury will decide the awards arising from the festival program, the awards for Best Short Film in the two categories in which the festival is divided:
Section "Barcelona en curt", where participating shorts have a clear connection and a direct reference to the territory and the districts of Barcelona, with scenes shhot in recognizable places of the city.
Section "Megacurt", that has no restriction on the location of the works, and is free subject.
In addition to the screening of the short films in competition, Bibliocurts has a large number of parallel activities for adults and children, among which are a section of short films about the book, lectures, master classes, projections of animated shorts, children's workshops, and music and tales for children.
When: November 23 to December 4
Where: Sant Gervasi-Library Joan Maragall
Price: free admission, limited capacity. Some of the parallel activities (master classes, children's workshop, ...) require prior registration
