Fanfarlo have been booked to kick off the 25th Guitar Festival BCN on the 20th of February

The London-based band will provide the first in a series on concerts that will continue throughout the spring

Fanfarlo have been entrusted with kicking off the 25th edition of Guitar Festival BCN. The London-based band, led by Swedish-born Simon Balthazar, will be presenting their latest album, Let’s Go Extinct, which was released on the 10th of February. The album signifies a step towards energetic pop sounds and a shift away from the darker, more epic, multi-instrumental sounds of their previous album, Rooms Filled With Light. The concert will provide another opportunity to enjoy a live performance by a band who, since their very beginnings, have enjoyed the support of none other than David Bowie.

This will be the first of a series of thirty performances promoted by The Project which will continue until the beginning of summer and which will include Rosario, Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators, Neil Halstead, Luz and Gerard Quintana and, later on, Los Secretos, Coque Malla, The Stranglers, Cristina Lliso, Jorge Drexler, Estopa, Loquillo, Andrés Calamaro and Brian Ferry, who will close the festival on the 5th of July.
