ExpAliments 2013: gastronomy, science and creativity

ExpAliments 2013 will take place on Saturday November 9

The University of Barcelona, with the collaboration of the Municipality of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, organizes the fourth ExpAliments party, a celebration open to all ages that this time will focus on food and its relationship with science and art. As novelties, this edition will include a gastronomic competition for students of the UB Torribera Campus and secondary schools of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, as well as culinary workshops about food, art and cuisine.

The event, which is free, will take place on Saturday, November 9th, from 10.30 AM to 2.30 PM, on the University of Barcelona Campus Torribera, located in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Torribera campus, Prat de la Riba, 171).

This year there will be an exhibition of mushrooms and a mobile phone photo competition. The festival also includes a children's area where children can participate in two types of activities: making sculptures with food packaging, coordinated by the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit of UB (UCC + i), and "Ona's Cuisine", a game about food recycling created by the Fàbrica del Sol of Barcelona City Council.
